3. Write skit to perform in front of the class. You may choose your own groups of 2-4 students :)    
25 min: Write skit. 60 words minimum. The skit will be graded out of 15 points. 5 for using the required words, 5 for grammar, and 5 for presentation (how entertaining it is and pronunciation)
You will perform skits on Monday. I recommend setting up a Google Doc with the members of your group so that you can work together over the weekend without actually meeting up.
Do not use Google Translate. I love it when you use Word Reference, though. Just don't use verb tenses or vocabulary that we don't know yet.
Extra Credit to groups that film the skit. 5-10 points will be added to your Unit 4 test.
Groups that film the skit will be allowed to use vocabulary that we haven't learned yet IF they include subtitles.
*Must include at least one word or concept from each of the following pages:
138 (personne),140 Regarde ça), 144 top (il y a) and bottom (sous), 152 (avoir), 165 (3 adj. méchant), 175 (BAGS-petit), 178 (pénible, génial)
In the handwritten script, underline.
**Challenge (optional): fulfill all of the above requirements AND three of the five below:
155 (des), 156 (des--de), 158 (le for general --la musique), 159 (le samedi=Saturdays in general), 177 c'est (NOT elle for it with noun)
At the top of your skit script, write all of the numbers above and cross them off as you finish them.


A couple of people still haven't described the birthday party. Here's the assignment:

You have 10 minutes to describe the following scene. Write as much as  you can to fully describe what you see and what is going on in the picture. You may give names to people and objects even though they are not listed. You may not use books or phones. No one should finish early.

HOMEWORK:
Find a picture of a family member, friend, or pet, and describe the scene just like you did for the 100 word description of the birthday party. 
60 words, 20 points, due Monday.
The best way to do this exercise is to think in terms of what you DO know rather than what  you do NOT know. As an example, if you want to describe the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio gets attacked by the bear Link , don't worry about not knowing the words "bear" and "attack." You could easily say, "The man is always very athletic, but because the animal is  mean and is very big, the man is rather timid, now. Why is the brown animal mean? I don't know. Because he is hungry?! (35 words)
Requirements:
DO NOT USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE! YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO.
YOU MAY ONLY USE WORDS AND PHRASES FROM THE TEXTBOOK.
NO NEW VERB TENSES, etc.

Find a picture of an actor on the Internet
Homework (10 points) : Write 30 words describing your actor and the scene he or she is in.
Find a picture of your chosen actor in one of his movies and describe the scene just like you did for the 100 word description of the birthday party. It is ok with me if you want to get into editing groups to help one another. Also, feel free to type it in Google Docs and change the language (go to File) to French so that it will show you proof reading suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend this! Microsoft Word will do this, too.
