Poisson d'avril!!

Homework=workbook, pages 109 and 112.
Devoirs=cahier, pages 109 et 112.
On page 108 in your workbook, translate the following sentences. If you need help with irregular verb conjugations, turn to page R9 at the back of the book:
1. We do the exercises (exercises) in the workbook.
2. We are not happy!(contents/heureux)
3. My parents (parents) have a black car.
4. You (formal) are funny (page 178).
5. My brother is annoying/a pain (LOL)

Listening exercises
A "poisson d'avril" is a joke made on April 1st. In France, children try to stick a fish picture on their friends' back. When the joke is discovered, they shout "poisson d'avril !"

Une blague : a joke (physical or verbal)
je blague = I'm joking/I joke
Une plaisanterie : a joke (verbal)

Tu plaisantes?=are you kidding me?

Drôle, amusant, comique, poilant/marrant/rigolo (slang)
Sourire : to smile
Rire : to laugh
"Je fais ça pour rire" --I do that for laughter= just kidding around
Je suis mort(e) de rire : dead laughing = MDR
Je suis pété(e) de rire : broken in two from laughter (also j’ai pété de rire: I farted from laughing) = PTR = LMAO
