Advanced Quizlet deck with  idiomatic expressions using faire and avoir
Today we will have a contest writing dialogues 
You must use three (3) avoir expressions, two (2) faire expressions, and one word from each of
the following pages: 144-sur, devant, 139-belle, 138-personne, 132-class commands, 108-avec qui, 100maintenant, un peu, 95--verbs
You may use up to three additional words that you look up that we have not studied. For these words, you will need to write the English in parentheses. Choose wisely! Only three.

For starters, I want each one of you to write down the following expressions

avoir l'air (+ adjective) (Elle a l'air contente.)


to seem (+ adjective) (She seems happy.)

to be lucky (You're lucky!)

avoir de la chance                  

avoir une faim de loup (J'ai une faim de loup.)

to be hungry as a wolf (I'm hungry as a wolf)

faire semblant de (+ infinitive) (Ils font semblant d'être super-héros.)

to pretend to (do something) (They're pretending to be superheroes.)


faire des bêtises (Fais pas de bêtises!)

to mess around, to misbehave (Stop messing around!)
bête = stupid/beast
