Quiz:  Translate into French: First of the period Friday

1. In my neighborhood there is
Dans mon quartier il y a
2. a good restaurant,
un bon restaurant,
3. an interesting museum,
un musée intéressant,
4. and a swimming pool.
et une piscine.
5. At my house the dining room is in front of the kitchen 
Chez-moi, la salle à manger est devant la cuisine.
Chez-moi, la salle à manger est en face de la cuisine.

Quiz will be worth 10 points, homework 5 points.

(for "at my house" you may say either: à ma maison" or "chez-moi")

Computer lab assignment yesterday.  The flash cards you guys made are great!  Let's go over some of them
Note: some of you need to go back and
1. fix the title of you flash cards so that it reads:  Discovering French 1 Isom [and then add the category of words, such as "Ma Maison" followed by a forward slash and then the English translation.  Here are three examples:
Discovering French 1 Isom--Ma Maison/My House
Discovering French 1 Isom --La Description/Description (adjectives)
Discovering French 1 Isom --Les mois de l'année/Months of the Year

Two other things to fix:
accent marks    été, not ètè, for example
be sure that the language is set for French (I think you all did this)
